Pastor's Corner: Facing Your Giants
How do you see your challenges? When you stand on a hillside and see a 9-foot tall giant warrior taunting you, how do you view him? Is he an insurmountable obstacle or an opportunity for the glory of God to be revealed?
We can't avoid the Goliath's of life. They are, in many ways, necessary to our growth as Christians. We can look at these Goliath's in one of two ways: through the eyes of fear and hopelessness like the Israelites, or through the eyes of courage and a certainty in God like David.
In any situation, what you are determines what you see, what you see determines what you do. Here's some perspective for you: Jeremiah 32:27 says, "Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, is anything too difficult for me?"
The answer is: NO!!! Trying seeing things from this perspective for a while and watch the victories start happening.
