Three Keys to Successful Christian Living

With so many things going on in life and the world that we live, it is imperative that we know how to get strong, be strong and stay strong. This world holds many distractions that cause us to veer to the left or to the right. The day that we live calls for being able to stay on the "straight and narrow" through every trial and hardship. With that in mind let me give you three things that I believe will stabilize every aspect of your life.

Key #1: Pray
Yes! That's right! Good old fashioned prayer. Our prayers are our form of communicating with God; sharing all of our concerns, and worshiping Him for His greatness. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray." I believe that God wants us to call on Him. He desires that we talk to Him. Remember that the passionate prayer of a righteous person accomplishes great things. (James 5:16)

Key #2: Read Your Bible
I know! I know! You are looking for something deeper to answer your questions. The good news is that the Good News is the answer. Reading your Bible is giving God a chance to talk to you. Joshua 1:8 says, "this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night so that you can do according to all that is written in it. Then you will find success and make your way prosperous." We must saturate our hearts and our minds with God's Word.

Key #3: Go to Church
This is the one that many try to reject as essential to Christian living. Listen! You and I need each other. We need to gather together and worship God together in the House of the Lord. Hebrews 10:25 tells us to not forsake coming together in church as is the manner of some, especially as the Day of the Lord approaches." If there was ever a time in our life that we needed a Pastor and a Church family, it is today.

I encourage you to follow these Three Keys. I am certain that if you do, you will find a dramatic change in your Christian experience.
